Round 3 of Ski Super
Stock win falls to Waleed Mahmoud Alsharshani, Runabout Stock
win to Rashid Alkuwari, and Runabout Super Stock win to Mohammed
Al-Haidous.
Doha - Qatar: The curtain
came down yesterday afternoon to complete the third round of
Qatar Local Jet Ski Championship organized by the Qatar Marine
Sports Federation (QMSF) under the chairmanship of His
Excellency Sheikh Hassan bin Jabor Al-Thani at Doha Corniche
with 26 Qatari Stars competed at the top of three categories:
Ski super stock, runabout stock
and runabout super stock. The winner of runabout stock category
falls to Rashid Abdullah Alkuwari, Waleed Al Sharshani won the
Ski super stock title, and Mohammed Al Haidous clinched the
runabout super stock title.

H.E. Sheikh Jassim Bin Nasser Al
Thani, Chairman of Speed Marine Foundation, and Mohammed Saleh
Al-Ali, Jet Ski Race Officer, crowned the top three winners from
each category.
Rashid Al-Kuwari succeeded to
clinch the title of Runabout stock category after an impressive
challenge to finish the race in a time of 12 min. and 12 sec.
Waleed Al Sharshani took the second place in a time of 12 min.
and 14 sec. followed by Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi in third position
in a time of 12 min. and 23 sec.
The runabout stock started with
exiting competition as an accident occurred with Mohammed Al
Fayyad on Ski number 09 led him to retired and moved immediately
to the hospital, and his condition is stable as reported. And
after the competition, Rashid Al Kuwari fell unconscious and was
taken to the hospital, but he returned back to race location
after finishing the needed medical tests.

In ski super stock competition,
Waleed Al Sharshani succeeded to clinch the title in a time of
10 min. and 56 sec. followed by Mohammed Al Obaidli in second
place in a time of 11 min. and 57 sec. and third place taken by
Hamad Sultan Al Suaidi in a time of 12 min. and 7 sec.
The runabout super stock race
title clinched by Mohammed Al Haidous in a time of 15 min. and
41 sec. and Abdullah Ghulam in second position in a time of 15
min. and 51 sec. and Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi third in a time of 16
min. and 2 sec.

Mohammed Saleh Al Ali (Race
officer): Professional improvement of the race was expected.
Mohammed Al Ali assured that the
race level was improved and had a wonderful participation from
the Qatari youth, and the obvious improvement of the third round
indicates the good interest and preparations from participants
which is an expected result of the strength of the competition.
Mohammed Al Ali also thanked
everyone involved in organizing this event and the great effort
made by all juries in finalizing all requirements and needs of
race course as well as coordination with all race officials.
