Khalid Saleh Al-Shamlan recorded 14 laps on the course in the second free practice session on Sunday morning and clocked the fifth fastest time. He improved in the time trials to set the fifth fastest time and lined up in a strong position to challenge for the podium in the second 20-minute race of the weekend. The Qatari eventually finished in fifth position in the race, with victory falling to Finland’s Filip Roms of the Mad Croc Team. Italy’s David Del Pin was second and the morning’s time trial winner Oskar Samuelsson finished third overall.
